Treasure Falls

A 2-player experience using DDR pads as controllers!

Our task was to build a multiplayer experience while exploring weird platforms in a week.

We decided to create a 2-player experience with DDR pads. Our world was a 2.5D collaborative game where the players had to communicate with eachother to move together and collect treasures, avoid curses, and strategize to avoid dropping a treasure chest held between them.

Game Mechanic

Two players must coordinate and collect treasure by ensuring their characters move close enough to keep the treasure chest between them from falling.

They must also avoid curses falling down.

Scene Scatter Tool - Generating Archeological Ruins

Created using Maya and Python scripting, this script allows the artist to generate an archeological ruins scene by selecting 3D models of arches and pillars with varying levels of decay, and setting the number of 3D models and their relative distance.
